THE INFUENCE OF JOB SATISFACTION ON THE JOB PERFORMANCE OF ADVENTIST UNIVERSITY OF INDONESIA EMPLOYEES

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know the correlation between Job Satisfaction and Job Performance of Adventist University of Indonesia's employees in Jalan Kolonel Masturi no 288, Parongpong, Bandung, using survey research method. The respondent are Adventist University of Indonesia’s employees which consists of 118 employees as the population, and as the research participants taken 54 employees. The instrument used in this study are interview, questionnaire, and other related review of literature studies. In data collection a questionnaire was administered to the 54 employees. For data analysis and calculation used in this study were Reliability test (Cronbac Alpha), Descriptive Statistics, Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient as well as Multiple regression. The finding shows that: (1) There is a positive correlation between challenging work (X1) and job performance (Y), with the value of RX1Y = 0,488 and coefficient of determination 20%. (2) There is no correlation between salary satisfactoriness (X2) and job Performance (Y), with the value of RX2Y = 0,166 and coefficient of determination 2,7%. (3) There is no positive correlation between supporting work place (X3) and Job Performance (Y) with the value of RX3Y = 0,287 and coefficient of determination 8,2%. (4) There is positive correlation between supporting colleague (X4) and Job Performance (Y) with the value of RX5Y = 0,213 and coefficient determination 4,6%. (5) There is no correlation between personality's compatibility (X5) and Job Performance (Y), with the value of RX5Y = 0,213 and coefficient determination 4,6% (6) The most influencing variable that affects Job Satisfaction is Challenging work (X1) with sig. 0,001 < 0,05, and equation of regression Y=4,9667 + 1,709 X1.
