Author Guidelines

Koinonia accepts research-based articles on Biblical Studies and Theology which have not been previously published, nor is it under review or consideration for book chapters or journal publication elsewhere. Manuscripts submitted to Koinonia should conform to the following guidelines:

Format. The text of the manuscript must be in English for a minimum of 5000-8000 words, written in one column format, and 1 space throughout. The left-hand margin must be 1,5 inches. All other margins must be 1.0 inch. The paper size must be A4, 8.27 inch wide, 11.69 inch high. Text does not need to be page numbered.

Title, abstract, and keywords. The title of the manuscript be written using Cambria in 14pt and not exceed of total 15 words. The abstract is written under the title in approximately 150 – 275 words. The abstract briefly describes the problem, objectives, methods, results and conclusions. Abstract is expected to be more communicative and not monotonous. The author should also provide 3 – 5 keywords underneath the abstract.

Manuscript

  1. The article should cover: (a) Title; (b) full name(s), affiliation(s), and e-mail of author(s); (c) Abstract, which includes objectives, method, and findings of research; (d) Keywords; (e) Introduction, which includes research objective(s); (f) Literature Review; (f) Method; (g) Findings and Discussion; (h) Conclusion; (i) References; and (j) Appendix, if any.
  2. Citations and references Manuscript submitted to Koinonia should conform to Turabian style for citations and references. References must consist of sources cited in the article only and should be presented alphabetically and chronologically. For example:
    Footnotes: M. Allchin, The Kingdom of Love and Knowledge (London: Darton, Longman & Todd, 1979), 46.
    Bibliography: Allchin, A. M. The Kingdom of Love and Knowledge. London: Darton, Longman & Todd, 1979.

  3. Manuscript submission
    Manuscript, as well as authors’ brief CV, could be sent through our online system:
    https://jurnal.unai.edu/index.php/koinonia/about/submissions
  4. Submitted articles will be peer-reviewed and the editorial board is permitted to edit the articles to keep format consistency without changing the essence.

Authors whose manuscripts are accepted or rejected will get a notification from Koinonia editorial board. The editorial board has the authority to return the rejected articles without asserting the causes.
