Abstract

The purpose of the study is to determine whether there is a relationship between parents’ management style and students’ academic achievement.   The 124 grade XI students of SMA UnKlab were the respondents for this study. The convenience sampling method was used to collect the data. The results indicated that lead management  style was the style parents used at home to educate their children (students) while students’ English achievement was in the good level. There was no significant relationship  between parents’ management style and students’ academic achievement with p = .000 and r = .514. It is recommended that teachers may practice lead management style in leading, and communicating  with students at school. To parents that they may apply lead management style to be the best style to educate their children at home.
