Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the knowledge  and motivation of the fourth level nursing students towards the attitude in implementation of patient safety at Universitas Klabat. The study design that was used is descriptive  analysis with a purposive sampling technique. The results have shown that the knowledge, motivation and attitude of students towards the implementation of patient safety are at good levels; also it has been found that there are no correlation  between the knowledge and attitude of the fourth level nursing students in the application of patient safety with a significant value of 0.64 > α = 0.05. Subsequently there has been found a relationship between the motivation and attitude of the fourth level nursing  students in the application of patient safety with a highly significant value of 0.001 < α = 0.05; also there is an influence between the knowledge and motivation on the attitude of nurses in the implementation of patient safety with significant values of 12.03 < α = 0.05. The suggestion  for further research is to examine the performance evaluation of nurses towards the implementation of the program of patient safety in hospitals.
