PERSEPSI MANFAAT, PERSEPSI HALANGAN DAN PERILAKU KESEHATAN DALAM MENCEGAH MAN MADE DISEASES PADA ORANG DEWASA

Abstrak

Latar Belakang: Terlepas dari kemajuan teknologi medis, berbagai strategi
preventif dan kuratif, dan program untuk memerangi penyakit, namun “man-
made diseases” terus meningkat dan menjadi tren global. Metode: Tujuan
dari Studi korelasi ini adalah untuk menguji hubungan antara persepsi
manfaat, persepsi halangan dan perilaku kesehatan di kalangan orang
dewasa. Melibatkan partisipan yang dipilih secara purposif dan 144 orang
setuju untuk mengisi kuesioner. Tiga set kuesioner yang valid dan reliabel
digunakan. Statistik deskriptif dan analisis Pearson Correlation digunakan.
Hasil: Hasil yang didapat adalah bahwa kebanyakan partisipan
mengonsumsi pola makan nabati pada tingkat sedang (68.1%) namun
kebanyakan (51.4%) jarang melakukannya. 58.3% merasakan manfaat
“sedang” dalam hal konsumsi pola makan nabati ini dan 59.7% merasakan
halangan “sedang” dalam mengadopsi pola makan nabati. Persepsi manfaat secara statistik berkorelasi positif lemah (r=.332; p<.01) dengan konsumsi pola makan nabati dan persepsi halangan secara statistik berkorelasi negatif sedang (r=-517; p<.01) dengan konsumsi pola makan nabati. Kemudian,
perilaku aktivitas fisik partisipan adalah “rendah” (46.5%) sampai “sedang”
(47.2%). Partisipan tidak ada yang rutin berolahraga, kebanyakan (66.7%)
jarang berolahraga. Walau begitu, 81.9% partisipan sangat merasakan
manfaat berolahraga, serta 80.6% partisipan merasakan halangan “sedang” dalam melakukan aktivitas fisik. Persepsi manfaat memiliki korelasi positif yang lemah secara statistik (r=.379; p<.01) dengan perilaku aktivitas fisik, sedangkan persepsi halangan secara statistik berkorelasi negatif lemah (r=-.291; p<.01) dengan perilaku aktivitas fisik. Diskusi: Partisipan harus meningkatkan konsumsi makanan nabati dan aktivitas fisik serta mengidentifikasi halangan dalam melakukannya. Untuk penelitian
selanjutnya, disarankan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor halangan dalam mengkonsumsi makanan nabati dan melakukan aktivitas fisik. Bagi petugas kesehatan agar lebih gencar dalam mengkampanyekan konsumsi pola hidup nabati dan melakukan aktivitas fisik.
