Abstract

Latar Belakang: Pembedahan atau prosedur operasi memicu munculnya beberapa reaksi emosional salah satunya adalah kecemasan yang bisa memberikan dampak berupa terganggunya rencana atau proses pembedahan apabila tidak ditangani dengan baik. Tata laksana mandiri perawat sangat berperan penting dalam membantu mengatasi kecemasan yang dialami yaitu dengan penatalaksanaan nonfarmakologi berupa pemberian massage, salah satunya hand massage. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Quasy Experiment dengan rancangan pre-posttest with control group design yang melibatkan masing-masing 18 sampel pada kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety yang dianalisis menggunakan analisis uji Wilcoxon dan Mann Whitney. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh pemberian hand massage terhadap tingkat kecemasan pasien pre operasi di Ruang Janger RSD Mangusada (p-value=0,000). Diskusi: Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan keperawatan kepada pasien yang mengalami kecemasan pre operasi.
