Prinsip Kerja dan Akurasi pada GPS

Abstrak
Saat ini perangkat GPS semakin banyak digunakan, terutama di mobil-mobil sebagai bantuan navigasi bagi pengemudi. GPS lahir dari sistem militer yang tadinya hanya digunakan sebagai penentu lokasi, namun saat ini GPS sudah mampu memberikan informasi waktu yang akurat, arah, perhitungan jarak ke suatu titik tertentu, kecepatan dan jejak atau lintasan lokasi yang dilewati penerima GPS. Tulisan ini akan menguraikan berturut-turut sejarah penentuan lokasi, prinsip kerja, akurasi dan sebagai penutup akan dijelaskan juga mengenai layanan yang disediakan oleh DoD US pada GPS.
