Abstract

Abstract
Adventist University of Indonesia is a boarding campus. Students who live in regular dormitories and VIPs get to eat in the cafeteria facilities. Meanwhile, a special do-rmitories students do not get this facility. Fraudulent practices are still common in Adventist University of Indonesia's cafeteria. Therefore, the authors developed a system of absentee applications for students in Adventist University of Indonesia's cafeteria by using RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology. RFID is an automatic idenlification method, which store and transmit data wirelessly and consists of an RFID reader and card (tag) RFID. The research that has been done by author is to build an application using Delphi programming language and database SQL Server 2000. The application will record the entlre attendancJof itudents in the cafeteria of Adventist University of Indonesia' The procedure is designed that the students have to bring students dinning card to the RFID reader and RFID reader will read the data of the card and put it into the database. The author also has designed this application in order to create student attendance report. This report was created with the aim that cafeteria officials authorized to minimize excess food provided on weekends or other holidays. When the application is run, this application can save data to SQL Server 2000 database that was created. This application can also create student attendance report. But this report can only be accessed offiine. Therefore, the authors hope that in future this system will be developed so that the report will be available online.
